At some point in the distant future, I plan to explore my negative reactions towards Lana Lang by re-writing her. But sometimes I just need to know that I'm not crazy and that she is given a free pass for being constantly selfish and manipulative on the show.

Why you should read it: It shows what Lana's actual reaction to Clark's secret would be. She spends half her time blaming the meteor shower for everything that goes wrong in her life. As if she'd care if he'd come in peace.

Princess by ladydreamer
Rating: PG
Author's Summary: Nell gives Lana the party she wanted for her sixteenth birthday. She gets a visitor.
Why you should read it: Lana complains a lot about Nell, but all she ever does is try to be the best guardian she can be. This fic highlights how little credit she gets for taking care of that little brat.

Rating: None given, I'd say PG
Author's Summary: Clark asks Lana just where she got her divorce settlement and then he comes to his senses.
Why you should read it: Honestly, the fact that this exchange doesn't take place in canon is unbelievable.

Need, Don't Need by mobiusklein
Rating: None given, I'd say PG-13
Author's Summary: future!unhappy!Clana. I think this basically encapsulates why I just don't care for the pairing and the way she behaves.
Why you should read it: Lana, whist being a little sympathetic due to her circumstances, still disgustingly pulling the strings of those around her.

Author's Summary: mentions Lexana but not in a favorable manner, slightly AU future-fic, drama
Why you should read it: Lana managing, as usual, to make other people's tragedies All About Her. Interesting fic on how that might serve her in the future.
